

Valerie Wiens leads Keystone Eldercare Solutions, a nurse-led consulting service helping seniors and families understand their options, navigate care systems, and make practical plans reflecting what matters most.
With 40 years of nursing experience across trauma emergency care, hospice, remote nursing, community home care, nursing education, and case management, Valerie brings clinical knowledge, calm guidance, and creative problem-solving to aging-related decisions.
Having cared for both parents and worked professionally as a Case Manager, she understands the realities families face. Valerie provides consultations throughout British Columbia, supporting families with care planning, dementia concerns, family decision-making, accessing services, and planning to remain safely at home. Locally, Keystone’s nurses provide monitoring, appointment support, advocacy, care coordination, and practical problem-solving.
Based in the Comox Valley, Valerie is an RN, GNC(c), PAC Certified Independent Consultant, Certified Seniors Home Safety Specialist, Age in Place workshop leader, and author of *What Do We Do About Mom?*
